A FEW GROUND RULES

Terms of Service

Effective September 14, 2026

By using Pass The HUG, you agree to these terms. The project exists to help people share and keep small reminders of appreciation.

Use it kindly

You may create, save, copy, and share HUG messages for personal and lawful purposes. Do not use the site to harass, threaten, impersonate, deceive, distribute unlawful material, interfere with the service, or violate another person’s rights.

Your words

You keep ownership of messages you write. You give Pass The HUG a limited permission to store, process, and display them only as needed to provide features you choose, such as My HUGs or the Wall of Appreciation. Do not submit private, confidential, or sensitive information, or content you do not have permission to use.

Email, text, and third-party services

Email, SMS, LinkedIn, ChatGPT sign-in, and other linked services are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy practices. Your carrier may charge messaging or data fees. You are responsible for choosing recipients and having permission to contact them.

No professional or emergency service

Pass The HUG offers encouragement, not medical, mental-health, legal, or other professional advice. It is not an emergency service. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Availability and responsibility

The site is provided “as is” and may change, pause, or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, Pass The HUG is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the project evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to D’Ana Guiloff at dana@guiloff.com.
