Pass The HUG is built to pass encouragement, not to follow you around the internet. This policy explains the information the site collects and why.

Information we collect

  • Site activity: first-party visitor and session identifiers, pages and URL categories, timestamps, referral source, campaign parameters, HUG or postcard codes, device category, and interactions such as creating, copying, sending, saving, or shuffling a HUG.
  • Saved HUGs: when you sign in and save one, we store your account identifier, the exact HUG text, optional giver, source or code, date saved, and any optional photo you choose to upload so they can appear privately on My HUGs.
  • Email updates: if you subscribe, we store your email address, subscription status, signup source, campaign parameters, and date.

How we use it

We use this information to operate and improve the site, show you saved HUGs, understand which campaign paths help people engage, deliver updates you request, troubleshoot problems, and protect the service. The site does not use third-party advertising trackers or sell personal information.

Accounts, service providers, and sharing

ChatGPT sign-in supports account-only features. OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers host and operate the service. Information may be processed by those providers only as needed to provide the site. We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect people and the service.

Your choices

You can browse without saving a HUG or subscribing. You may unsubscribe using the link in a future email. Clearing this siteā€™s browser storage resets its first-party visitor identifier. To request access, correction, or deletion, email dana@guiloff.com.

Retention and children

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, understand aggregate performance, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Pass The HUG is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
